It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas..

I saw another blogsite that was called"Parade of Homes" where people showed their houses decorated for Christmas. Heres mine ! Disclaimer: We have a 2 year old, and she likes to "redecorate the tree" every morning...so it looks a little catti-wonkus...

Growing...

I title this post growing for 2 reasons. One is because I am realizing my baby girl is growing and it is such a joy to watch her grow, my other reason for titling this growing is... I am taking this time during the slow season, and going back to old school and for the next 2 months I will shoot nothing but strickly manual. I am going to play with my camera till I am blue in the face so that manual settings become natural for me. For the photo buffs, I usually shoot Aperture priority and let the camera figure out the compensation, but now I will be doing all the figuring, So call it my own little self challenge...this was my first all manual shot...it was fun...I realized while shooting that the light changes all the time and you have to keep on top of your exposure setting....very fun...I feel like I am in school again :) I see the light :)

The Harmons

These are our friends the Harmons.
They are not only our dear friends,
but our neighbors too...bonus...thanks for the many items
I have already borrowed from you,
the burnt pumkin pie, sugar, the pitcher, the tape! Thanks friend...
Merry Christmas!

Thank you to Garrison's Oma for making Grace this fun stocking (the red and white one) Garrison has the sweetest Oma! Now if I could just get my girl to stop doing the cheesy grin (a photojournalists nightmare) we'd be all set.

Christmas Dancin

Grace dancin while decorating the tree

Christmas Tree

Seth and I rode out to a tree farm with some of our friends and cut down our Christmas tree. It was fun.

Notice the candy canes all in a row, that is Grace's handy work. She likes it that way, when we asked her if she wanted to put them all over the tree she said "no right there is fine". So there they are :) I think she likes then there cause of the easy access :)

New Logo Launch

Thanks to my dear friend Andrea Nelson, of Boven Design Studio I now have a logo! You saw my feeble attempts at trying to make one myself...well dear Andrea offered to help me out! She is the best! Not only is she a great graphic designer (you should check out her website) but she is a dear friend. I miss our Thursday Morning breakfasts in Colorado!

Again if you are in need of a designer, check out her site at www.bovendesign.com she is located in Washington State but can obviously work anywhere around the world via the net. She does marketing tools, books, identities and packaging. Thank you Andrea for you awesome work! You rock!

The coolest thing ever is that I can change the color of the camera and lettering to match the colors in the print....check it out....

5th Quarter

Our church (BEP) does 5th Quarter after home football games for the local high school. We usually do it at the park across the street from the stadium, but this past week it was at our church. We get over 600 kids after the games for pizza, games, music and the gospel. Good times! I love the shot of the guys doing jump shots for the camera!

Carving Fun?!?!

Well here is the end result of the carving...we are not big into scarey stuff thus the goofy face, but Grace doesnt even like the goofy face. When we lit it she said "turn it off" "all done with the pumkin" "scarey yucky mama yucky" So there you have it...We dont mind that she doesnt really like scarey stuff, Halloween doesnt really top our chart for favorite Holidays anyway :)
We tried :)

Pickin out Pumpkins

I think we found one...stay turned for tommorrows Carving adventures...

Blowing Bubbles

This was our neighbor's grandbaby Jack blowing bubbles for the first time...he is pretty intense as he concentrates on blowing, now if he can just remember to put the wand up to his mouth he will have it made!

Childrens Museum in Baltimore

This was a blast! We went up to Baltimore a few weeks ago and Grace got to play with all the fun things at the chilrdens museum. It is a "hands on" place for all ages of kids. They had a Clifford the big red dog exhibit, where grace pretended to be a mail man. Preparred dog bones for Clifford and played music on the bongos... They had a play diner where they had real booths that we sat in while Grace fixed us food. They also had a little circle time for the kids that were Grace's age...there is a picture of her doing head shoulders knees and toes...have I mentioned before how much I love being a MOM!

Daniel and Julie

Daniel and Julie got married at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis this past weekend. The weather was georgeous for their outdoor ceremony. This was a neat part of the ceremony where they were wrapped in this blanket and had communion. Congratulations!

Garri and Debbie

Garri and Debbie were the most laid back fun couple! They got married at the Engineers Club in Baltimore. Right outside of the Engineers club was the Columbus Day Parade! So they had fun jumping in with the drummers in one of the marching bands. I loved that they had things planned for all the children and that it was such a fun family affair. Thanks for being so fun, I wish you all the best!

Simon and Alex

Simon and Alex had a beautiful wedding Saturday the 7th. They were married at Alex's home where she has lived her whole life. It was very special to share in their special day.

Shenandoah Valley

Seth, Grace and I went camping in Virginia this past weekend. We had fun, except for the Thunderstorm that sent us home a night early! We got to hike part of the appalachian trial on Thursday which was fun. It was neat to think the trail goes all the way from Maine to Georgia! Grace loved it...she did say "Sleep in a tent mama? I want my bed" She did fine, but I now know there is a reason she has her own bed...she is ALL over the map... as far as sleeping goes! I woke up with her hand in my face...
